This applets gives access to a database of defect reports for a large software product named "SQL Tools". The defect reports are stored on a server and accessed by the applet through regular SQL calls.

Various users such as project managers, developers and support engineers access this database to report assess the work to be done, report new defects after having checked they were not already referenced, or fix and merge the various defect reports.

For instance, the following view displays the currently open bugs, split by person in charge of each bug:

This view lets manager assess the workload of each developers, and individual developers quickly find the reports they have to handle. drill down facilities let one focus on specific parts of the data set. Pointing on an individual report provides immediate access to the details of this report, either as a tooltip, or in the right pane. Left click on a report gives you access to a pop up menu which lets you assign the report to another developer.
