The ILOG Discovery application is made of the following panels, numbered as shown below:

1. The menu bar and toolbar holds all available functions and tools. 
2. The Table Inspector, presents the columns of the current data set as well as some controls: a filtering range slider and an attribute selector that allows you to map a column to a visual attribute. Its last line displays the values of the record under the cursor when the mouse is over a table view.
3. The Main view shows you one or more views on your data set. 
4. The Projection Inspector, on the right side, allows you to control the parameters of your visualization at a very fine level.
5. The View Thumbnails list is like an icon manager: it stores as many views as you want on your data sets. You can have up to four views visible at one time. Least recently used views are automatically iconified.
